DoorLoop integration

DoorLoop integration is available on the Enterprise plan only.

OntarioLandlord integrates with DoorLoop to import your existing properties, leases, tenants, and documents, and to sync your financial ledger. This lets you migrate from DoorLoop without re-entering data and keep your financials in sync.

Setting up the integration​

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Select DoorLoop
  3. Enter your DoorLoop API credentials
  4. Test the connection to verify access

Once connected, DoorLoop data is available for import and sync.

Ledger sync​

The Ledger sync toggle in Settings → Integrations → DoorLoop syncs the full financial ledger from DoorLoop into OntarioLandlord.

Enabling ledger sync​

When you enable ledger sync:

  • Financial data (payments, credits, charges) is pulled from DoorLoop and applied to the matching lease records in OntarioLandlord
  • Plaid bank sync is automatically disabled — ledger sync and Plaid are mutually exclusive. See Plaid overview for details.

Manual on-demand sync​

A Sync from DoorLoop button is available in the Financials tab of each lease. Click it to trigger an immediate ledger sync for that lease without waiting for the next scheduled run.

Sync status banner​

When ledger sync is active, a DoorLoop ledger banner appears on the Integrations page showing the current sync status (last synced time, success or error).

What you can import​

Tenants​

Select which tenants to import using the tenant picker. You can import all tenants or select specific ones.

Leases​

The draft import mode has been removed. All imported leases now have their OSL locked automatically with auto-consent applied. Imported leases do not appear in the import picker as drafts.

Documents​

Sync signed leases and other documents from DoorLoop. Documents are attached to the corresponding lease record.

Import workflow​

  1. Connect — Set up API credentials in Settings
  2. Select — Choose tenants and leases to import using the picker
  3. Review — Verify the data mapping before confirming
  4. Import — Data is created in OntarioLandlord
  5. Validate — Check imported records for accuracy

Preventing duplicates​

The system prevents duplicate property creation during import. If a property already exists in OntarioLandlord, the import maps leases to the existing property.

Imported lease restrictions​

Leases imported from DoorLoop have their OSL locked automatically to prevent accidental regeneration. Auto-consent is applied at import time. You can still edit lease details, but the OSL document won't be auto-regenerated.

Rollback​

If you discover data errors after import, the rollback feature lets you revert the import and try again.

DoorLoop attribution​

Imported records are tagged with DoorLoop as the source for tracking and analytics purposes.

API connectivity

You can test the DoorLoop API connection from the settings panel at any time to verify your credentials are still valid.
