Adding tenants via OSL upload
When you upload an Ontario Standard Lease (OSL) PDF:
- The system extracts tenant names automatically
- Creates tenant records for each person on the lease
- Links tenants to the lease
See Uploading OSL for details.
Multiple tenants on one lease
For leases with multiple tenants (roommates, couples):
- Add each tenant separately
- When creating the lease, select all applicable tenants
- All tenants will be associated with the same lease
Tenant information best practices

Legal names
Use the tenant's legal name as it appears on:

This ensures consistency if you need to file with the LTB.
