Evidence bundles are professionally formatted PDF packages that compile your documentation for Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) hearings.

Types of Evidence Bundles

OntarioLandlord generates two types:

1. Arrears Evidence Bundle

For non-payment of rent cases (N4 → L1):

  • Complete rent ledger
  • Payment history
  • N4 notice copy
  • Arrears calculations

2. Maintenance Evidence Bundle

For cases involving property issues:

  • Maintenance ticket history
  • Communications log
  • Photos and documentation
  • Timeline of events

Creating an Evidence Bundle

  1. Go to Evidence in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Evidence Bundle
  3. Select the type (Arrears or Maintenance)
  4. Choose the lease
  5. Select date range
  6. Add any additional documents
  7. Generate PDF

Using Your Evidence Bundle

Before the Hearing

  1. Generate the bundle
  2. Review for completeness
  3. Print required copies
  4. Prepare your testimony

At the Hearing

  1. Provide copies to adjudicator and tenant
  2. Reference exhibits by number
  3. Walk through key documents

For Mediation

Evidence bundles also help in pre-hearing mediation by showing you're prepared and organized.

Best Practices
